Principal / Senior Project Manager
Kerry L. Smith is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute where he earned an Associates Degree in Architectural and Engineering Technology in 1971. Kerry is a registered professional engineer obtaining his Indiana license in 1988.
Kerry is a founding principal of Circle Design Group, Inc., serves as its corporate Senior Project Manager and co-leads the marketing strategies for the company. He also serves as the director of the mechanical engineering group overseeing the project design and construction implementation for heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
Past completed work under his direction includes the Indiana State Museum, Victory Field, Emmis Broadcasting's Corporate Headquarters, Ball State University's Arts & Journalism Building, the new Control Tower and Formula One Garages and Suites at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indiana University's Natatorium, Princeton University's DeNunzio Pool and the Circle Centre Mall.
Current projects include the addition and expansion of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and addition and expansion of the Indianapolis's Central Library, a new Natatorium for the University of Louisville, a new Campus Center for Indiana University / Purdue University at Indianapolis, a new Indiana State Police Forensics Laboratory, Purdue University's new Millenium Engineering Building and a new corporate headquarters for the Forum Credit Union.
Kerry is a member of the Association of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, the American Society of Energy Engineers, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's Indianapolis Board of Associates and Rotary Club of Indianapolis.
